Europe’s energy intensive industries – cement, steel, glass and chemicals – are responsible for around 16% of EU emissions, and 60% of all EU industrial emissions. To achieve the EU goal of “climate neutrality by 2050”, far-reaching measures and timely action are necessary, especially in energy-intensive heavy industry. We want to discuss with leading representatives of heavy industry how a net zero can be achieved.
