YEP closing event at Wien Energie

Last month, the final closing event of the YEP working groups of the 4th cycle took place. The presentations of the projects on “heat transition,” “climate neutrality,” and “energy suppliers” were held in an inspiring setting at the Climate Lab in Spittelau.

After an exciting tour of Wien Energie’s cooling center, we kicked off the afternoon with a varied program:

• Welcome remarks by Wien Energie & World Energy Council Austria
• Final presentations by the three working groups
• An inspiring guest lecture by one of the groups’ mentors, Mr. Günter Getzinger

The YEPs impressively presented their results and ideas on key future issues of the energy sector — from innovative concepts for the heat transition to pathways toward climate neutrality and the role of future energy suppliers.

A heartfelt thank-you to Wien Energie for their hospitality and the fascinating insights into cooling, to our mentor for his valuable input, and to all participants for their enthusiastic input.

With this, the final event of the fourth cycle of the Young Energy Professionals officially concluded this edition of the program. We sincerely thank our outstanding participants, wish them all the best, and already look forward to seeing everyone again soon at one of our other event formats!
