BRAINTRUST GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us”) is responsible for the content and data processing within the framework of this website within the meaning of the Data Protection Act. The following data protection declaration is intended to give you an overview of what happens to the data and what protection we offer you.

Data protection is important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions, in particular in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2000 (DSG 2000), the Data Protection Adaptation Act 2018 (DSG 2018) and the Data Protection Basic Regulation (DSGVO).

 

1. Personal data and their processing

All information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. name or e-mail address, but also IP address or geolocation data, is personal data which is treated absolutely confidentially by us. If you actively disclose your data via our website, it will only be used for the purposes you have requested and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent except to the IT service provider employed by us.

 

2. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device when you visit our website. Cookies are used to make interactions with our websites and services easier and to ensure error-free use. Most of the cookies used are so-called “session cookies”, which are only stored on your end device for a short time and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable the recognition of a user when the web application is used again. If you do not agree with the use of cookies, you can block or delete the use of cookies at any time. A variety of tools (including browser controls and settings) are available to you for this purpose. You can find more information about blocking cookies in the help section of your web browser. A faultless functionality of all offers cannot be guaranteed if cookies are deactivated.

 

3. Statistics for the improvement of the online application

If necessary, visitor statistics are evaluated to improve the online offer. The open source web analytics tool “Matomo” is used for this purpose. Matomo uses cookies (see also previous paragraph) to enable an analysis of the use of the applications. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookies is transferred to the servers of our IT service provider and stored for usage analysis purposes. This serves the sole purpose of website optimisation. During this process, your IP address is immediately anonymised so that it can no longer be allocated to you or your terminal device. The anonymous, aggregated statistical data are stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a specific person.

You can object to the storage of data by Matomo by setting up your browser so that you are not included in such statistics (so-called “do-not-track”).

 

4. log files

When you visit our website, the following information is automatically collected and stored in log files: Your IP address, the page called up, name and version of your web browser, referrer as well as date and time of the request. There is no personal utilization of these data. We reserve the right to statistically evaluate anonymous data records.

The storage of the data is necessary for security reasons in order to maintain the stability and operational reliability of our system. The log files are deleted after a maximum of two years.

 

5. video player

The videos and livestreams offered on this website are realized using the video player “JW Player”, which is offered by LongTail Ad Solutions, Inc., d/b/a JW Player. In the course of integration, certain data is sent to JW Player, including IP address, terminal type, screen resolution, browser and operating system. JW Player is a member of the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework.

 

6. Google Analytics

This website uses the “Google Analytics” service offered by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyse website usage by users. The service uses “cookies” – text files that are stored on your terminal device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This website uses IP anonymisation. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This abbreviation means that your IP address does not have to be referred to a specific person. Within the framework of the order data agreement which the website operators have concluded with Google LLC, Google LLC uses the information collected to compile an evaluation of website usage and website activity and provides services associated with Internet usage.

You have the option of preventing the cookie from being stored on your device by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. It is not guaranteed that you can access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

7. Google Maps

This website integrates the maps of the service “Google Maps” of the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When using Google Maps, the provider may in particular collect IP addresses and location data of the users, but not without their consent (usually carried out in the context of the settings of their mobile devices). 8. Contact form

Collected data are stored by us for the purpose of later processing and/or answering your inquiries and are deleted after complete completion and/or after expiration of the storage periods prescribed by law.

 

9. Newsletter

If you register actively for our e-mail newsletter, the following data will be collected by us: e-mail address and optionally first/last name company and gender. The data will only be used to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from e-mail newsletters at any time and free of charge by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the end of the newsletter or by contacting us via the e-mail address given below.

Our website contains various external links to other websites. Even though we carefully check external links, we would like to point out that we are not liable for the content or security of external, linked websites.

 

11. Your rights

You can revoke your consent to the use of your data by us at any time. This means that your data will not be further processed unless there is another reason for lawful processing. In addition, you have the fundamental right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data transferability.
