YEP Final Event “Hydrogen”

On September 3, 2024, the closing event of the YEP Working Group “Hydrogen” of WEC Austria took place at the Smart Campus of Wiener Netze and was a great success! A heartfelt thank you to the entire highly motivated YEP working group, especially Mauricio Belaunde (Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU), Alexander Knöttner (EVN), and Max Labmayr (d-fine) for their excellent presentation of the final report.

In addition, the Managing Director of Wiener Netze GmbH, KommR Dipl.-Ing. Gerhard Fida, and Helmut Meixner, Managing Director of Wiener Wasserstoff GmbH, spoke about the hydrogen activities of the Wiener Stadtwerke Group, and Michael Woltran from AGGM Austrian Gas Grid Management AG presented on InGRID and the H2 Roadmap for Austria.

Special thanks go to Univ. Prof. Thomas Kienberger and Univ. Prof. Stefan Schleicher for their valuable academic guidance of the YEP Hydrogen Group.

We would also like to thank Wiener Netze for hosting the event and AGGM for sponsoring the dinner at “Landtmann Das Bootshaus.” It was an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the future of hydrogen activities in Austria.
